We had a fun day out with some new members taking to the hills for the very first time.

Lough Bray is an easy grade hike for all levels of fitness, with that awe inspiring experience that ticks all of the boxes.

Snow powder covered the ridge giving that cold but christmas feel, to one of our favourite home walks.

Welcome to the Ramblers.

We had a fantastic day on the Mournes, weather was perfect which always makes a days hiking more memorable. We took our hike to Slieve Bearnagh after a plan to tackle Slieve Donard changed due to a cycling event in the area which caused road closures. We had great fun and the food at Meelmore Lodge was superb all home cooked, yum.

Simon Sweeney Tallaght Person of the Year

Tallaght 15th June 2015

If you have not heard, Tallaght Community Counsel have rightly announced our founder Simon Sweeney as the Tallaght Person of the Year for the environment.

For a start-up club this is unheard of but speaks volumes of the work the Simon and the team at Kiltipper Ramblers have put in but also it speaks of the potential Tallaght offers as a destination for walkers and as a gateway to the Dublin way.

Well done Simon on behalf of all at Kiltipper Rambler
